The book

This book presents the set of 7 sculptures which, having been created in Barcelona, were then integrated into a fictional structure and a series of short texts, selected words and poems, along with photographs of my Barcelona studio and the Poblenou district, which combine to provide a certain way of looking at my work.

The book (texts and photographs) and the sculptures form a whole. An imaginary world. And one that has a "story" to tell: the story of an inner path. But also the impression of living in a period when the cloistering of the mind within the cocoon of the individual (and its Self) has become the rule. Might it be that the intention is to protect oneself from the aggression of a competitive world in which people are subject to the hegemony of the humdrum? And why is this burgeoning individualism detrimental to the imagination, the senses, mental focus, intuition, and, in sum, inner richness? Where did the enthusiasm go? The desire? Just ask Gonzague…
